Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant at Saint Marys Correctional Center in St Marys, WV. You will support nursing staff and provide direct daily care to patients, under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, ensuring comfort and well-being.

This role emphasizes dignity, compassion, and timely response to patient needs in a correctional healthcare setting. CNA certification and CPR are required, with experience preferred; strong interpersonal skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant certification program.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous CNA experience preferred, correctional healthcare experience a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality, professionalism, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and hygiene.
• Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, fluid intake, and output.
• Support ambulation, repositioning, and range of motion activities.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers, stretchers, and patient mobility.
• Provide emotional support and respond promptly to call lights.
• Cleansing and maintaining patient areas, workrooms, and equipment.
• Assist physicians or nurses during minor procedures and treatments.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supply inventory.
• Encourage hydration and elimination as part of daily patient care.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic medical record system.
