Job summary

The State of Iowa - Executive Branch, at the Iowa Veterans Home, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a non-merit, temporary contract. This position runs 15 weeks (up to 780 hours) with full-time hours, evening or night shifts, and every-other-weekend scheduling.

It is not eligible for benefits, but a permanent position may be pursued at the end of the 15 weeks. Responsibilities include basic personal care per the plan of care, documenting in resident charts, and sign-off in care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Performs basic personal care following a plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic personal care per the plan of care developed by the primary nurse.
• Complete documentation and sign off in resident charts and care plans.
• Certified Med Aides will pass medications as indicated on MAR.
