Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of newscast production and journalistic standards.
• 5+ years producing content in a newsroom, with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee reporters, producers, digital producers, assignment editors and journalists on the evening shift.
• Coordinate daily newsgathering and assign stories across platforms for the 11 p.m. newscast and streaming.
• Approve on-air scripts and ensure accuracy, strong writing, and engaging storytelling.
• Lead a cross-functional team and pivot to emerging media as needed.
