Qualifications

• 2-year degree required in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Plus 2 years of experience in a hospital or health clinic laboratory setting.
• Valid ASCP certification as an MLT is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab procedures on blood, urine, and other body samples as ordered.
• Implement and follow a quality assurance/QC plan with supervisor and manager.
• Order, result, and cancel tests in the EMR under clinician direction.
• Restock and maintain lab inventory and supplies.
• Collect and record patient data needed for interpretation of tests.
• Communicate laboratory data clearly and timely to health care team.
