Job summary

Mathnasium Oak Park/River Forest is seeking tutors to provide exceptional math instruction and tutoring to students using the Mathnasium Method. You will evaluate student work, grade assignments, and collaborate with a team to ensure a positive learning experience.

The role requires a passion for math, solid Algebra skills, and strong communication abilities. Training will be provided, and applicants will take a math literacy test to demonstrate proficiency.

Qualifications

• A passion for math and working with students.
• Strong math skills through a minimum of Algebra.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students.
• Teach using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students.
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed.
