YMCA of San Diego is seeking a Master Swim Coach to lead structured workouts for a diverse Masters program. You will coach stroke technique, endurance, and stamina while upholding safety protocols in alignment with USA Swimming guidelines.

The role is part‑time, requiring availability Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:15pm to 6:45pm. Candidates should have 4+ years in competitive swimming/coaching, BLS certification, and the ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• BLS for the Professional Rescuer from a recognized organization.
• Principles of Competitive Swimming and Diving certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and execute Masters swim workouts for varied abilities.
• Provide real‑time technical corrections to improve performance.
• Ensure pool safety and enforce rules; respond to emergencies.
• Support Masters swim program and communicate schedule changes.
• Inspect pool area/equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Oversee use and maintenance of swim team equipment.
• Represent the Masters swim program with participants and partners.
• Additional duties as assigned.
