Job summary

Precision Strip, Inc. in Vonore, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our metal processing plant running by performing diverse planned and unplanned maintenance on machinery and equipment.

You will collaborate across shifts to schedule preventive maintenance, troubleshoot root causes, and manage parts inventory while assisting with installation of new equipment and process improvements. This role demands strong problem solving, reading electrical/mechanical drawings, and hands-on

Qualifications

• Willing to work 5pm–5am and be available for emergencies.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
• Deep knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.
• Experience with PLCs and electrical systems (single/three phase).
• Fabrication experience including welding, plasma and torch work.
• Strong communication across shifts and urgency to resolve issues.
• Manufacturing maintenance experience; trade cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to schedule preventative maintenance and maintain records.
• Ensure inventory of spare parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot root cause for unplanned maintenance repairs.
• Assist installation and assembly of new equipment and process improvements.
