Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Leominster, MA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair high-speed packaging equipment. The role requires hands-on work with welding, cutting, machines, and power transmission, plus strong adherence to GMP/ISO9001 standards.

You will follow safety policies, log activities in CMMS, and participate in on-call rotations. Minimal 2 years in metal manufacturing maintenance, high school diploma or technical degree preferred, PLC experience a plus, and

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree in maintenance related field preferred.
2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metal manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for plastics manufacturing.
PLC experience preferred.
Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools preferred.
Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with little to no supervision.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Troubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
Able to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and log labor/parts according to established expectations.
Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts as required.
Must participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours on off shift due to on-call program.
Understands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.
Oversee and distribute work orders as needed.
Help make sure the maintenance team is working efficiently and to the priority list.
Help assign PM's with a goal of 100% completion.
Help audit PM's to keep in compliance.
Help write up new PM's for all auxiliary equipment that are not in the CMMS system then add them to the CMMS system.
Audit LOTO procedures yearly as required and update the Brady Link360.
Update the TPM board as required.
