Job summary

UFP Industries in Harrisonville, MO is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine following established procedures. You will secure materials and maintain supplies for continuous operation.

Responsibilities include safe machine operation, area housekeeping, pre-shift inspections, and maintaining production records. You will participate in safety and continuous improvement programs and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing/assembly experience.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Stacks completed products per procedures; may cover, label and band components.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure standards.
• Follows safety and quality procedures and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
