Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Per Diem LPN to join the Wellness team for the 11 PM–7 AM shift, every other Saturday. The role involves supervising Resident Services staff and supporting medication administration in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

Required: Licensed Practical Nurse in CT, Basic first aid/CPR certification, and at least 2 years of clinical experience; prior assisted living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s).
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience in assisted living or long term care setting preferred.
• Experience and/or special interest working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Resident Services Department associates (C.N.A.’s).
• Assist in supervising the medication program and assist residents with self-administration of medication.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families and physicians.
• Report significant incidents/changes to supervisors.
• Support completion of resident assessments and service plans.
• Assist with clinical assessments/recertifications per ALSA requirements.
• Assist in training and orientation of new associates.
• Attend and participate in in-service programs and staff meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to RSA staff as needed.
• Support residents and families to ensure high satisfaction.
