The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care(LTC), under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota.
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles per care plan.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care.
