Job summary

Harvard Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cleaner to supervise daily cleaning tasks across facilities. You will coordinate a team, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Requirements include prior lead or supervisory experience, 1+ year in janitorial work, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Boots-on-the-ground leadership with client-facing duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Lead or supervisory experience required.
• At least 1 year of janitorial or related experience.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Experience managing cleaning crews and overseeing workflow.
• Comfortable using a radio and iPhone for work orders.
• Able to follow management directions and work independently.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee daily cleaning tasks.
• Coordinate and support the cleaning team.
• Promote a positive work environment and uphold safety standards.
• Train staff and supervise in supervisor's absence.
• Respond to spills and cleaning requests promptly.
• Inspect areas to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies.
