Job summary

Labcorp’s PAML division in Spokane, WA is seeking a Lab Assistant to join the team on a Tuesday–Saturday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm schedule. You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare them for testing, and enter data while ensuring safety and quality across the lab.

This role requires a high school diploma; preferred candidates have a science degree and 6+ months of lab experience. Overtime and other days may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelors in Medical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field preferred.
• 6+ months hospital or lab specimen processing experience preferred.
• 6+ months clinical or research lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete logs and administrative duties as requested.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
