Job summary

Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform laboratory procedures and assist with customer service needs. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, performing EKG tests, and assisting with training new staff.

The ideal candidate will be a High School graduate or have equivalent experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of basic computer applications. The role entails working both autonomously and as part of a team. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet and maintain necessary background checks.
• Knowledge of EKG and phlebotomy tends to be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects proper specimen using a variety of techniques.
• Performs EKG testing.
• Assists with customer service needs for outpatients.
• Trains new staff and visiting students.
• Processes specimens including receiving and batching.
