Qualifications

• Pre-analytical processing of specimens knowledge.
• Register patients, enter lab orders, bill charges, audit accounts in McKesson.
• Collaborate with lab teams, physician offices and health care providers.
• Work independently with flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
• Guard confidentiality of sensitive information including patients and staff.
• Care for patients across age ranges as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical assignments in the pre-analytical phase of testing.
• Know and apply safety standards when processing specimens.
• Use terminology and practices in pre-analytical lab work to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Process and interpret information involving laboratory specimens to ensure proper testing and specimen integrity.
• Understand the revenue cycle as it pertains to the laboratory and fulfill obligations of this cycle.
