Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is hiring a Janitorial Cleaner to perform basic cleaning across common areas, restrooms, entrances, and walkways at our Wayne, NJ site. You will operate floor scrubbers, buffers and vacuums, and ensure floors, furniture, and fixtures are clean and well maintained.

We offer multiple shifts, with temporary hire for the right candidate and a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, life, LTD, and a 401K plan. Able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job including bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all basic cleaning tasks in all common areas, restrooms, entrances and walkways.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
