Job summary

ABM Industries in Roanoke, VA is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

This role offers an hourly pay rate of $12.77 to $15.00, with schedules including M-W-F 5pm–9pm and T-Th 5pm–7pm, and ABM’s comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, ensure hygiene.
• Empty trash and recycling per policy.
• Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings or events.
• Follow safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
