Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an Evening Janitorial Area Manager to oversee the janitorial operations of assigned locations during the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift. You will supervise custodial staff, ensure cleaning tasks meet standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain a clean and safe environment.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, strong leadership, and comprehensive knowledge of safety and OSHA guidelines. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a hard requirement.
• Experience in janitorial or facilities management is beneficial.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial operations of assigned locations during evening shifts.
• Supervise custodial staff, assign tasks, and provide coaching.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain cleanliness logs.
• Ensure safety protocols and chemical handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor supplies, equipment, and inventory levels, with replenishment as needed.
• Collaborate with client and stakeholders to address janitorial needs.
• Identify training needs and provide staff development opportunities.
• Coordinate emergency responses and document incidents.
• Prepare reports on operations performance and improvements.
