Job summary

Pellissippi State Community College is seeking qualified contract instructors (s) to teach HVAC training classes for its Workforce and Community Development Department. We are specifically seeking an instructor for evening classes to be taught on an ongoing basis.

Instructors work on a part-time, temporary contract to provide educational instruction for a specific class or workforce training. Instructors are expected to be subject matter experts on their topic, will be responsible for delivery

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or degree in HVAC or Industrial Electricity with knowledge of safety, tools and materials, installation, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Minimum three years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of educational instruction (80%).
• Curriculum development using NCCER HVAC Curriculum (20%).
