Sentara Health is seeking a Patient Transporter in Norfolk, VA to escort and transport patients throughout the hospital with emphasis on safety and clear communication. This full-time role supports patient flow and interdepartmental coordination on the 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: Patient Care Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort and transport patients safely within hospital using proper body mechanics.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients.
• Coordinate information between Central Transport and other departments.
