Job summary

Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. seeks a Linen Services Technician to support the Linen Department in a hospital setting. You will sort and inspect linens, operate laundry equipment, and ensure clean, neatly folded linen is distributed throughout the Medical Center.

The position is full-time in the second shift (evenings) with a 40-hour work week and up to 20% travel for delivery and pick-up as needed. Compliance with policies and the Remote Work guidelines is not applicable to this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service industry.
• Preferred experience working in a hospital.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities

• Sorts wet linen into correct categories/baskets.
• Visually inspects all linens for cleanliness, tears and stains.
• Operates all laundry equipment per instruction, including washers/dryers.
• Folds all types of clean linens neatly and stores properly.
• Loads linen carts with clean linen and maintains correct par levels.
• Distributes linens throughout the Medical Center.
• Keeps equipment, carts and work areas clean at all times.
• Travel requirements up to 20% for delivery and pick-up as needed.
