Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Portland, OR is seeking an entry-level Hospital/Healthcare Housekeeper for evening shifts. You will clean patient areas, sanitize equipment, and assist with linen and waste removal to maintain a safe, sterile environment across hospitals and clinics onsite.

Responsibilities include following infection-control protocols, reporting safety issues, and supporting daily housekeeping operations as part of the Nicolai Service Center team.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Able to understand oral and written communication.
• Able to lift 35 pounds frequently, 60 pounds occasionally, and push carts up to 350 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas with cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent spread of disease.
• Sanitize sinks, mirrors, tubs, and replenish soap and towels.
• Strip, wash and make beds per discharge procedures; transport soiled linen.
• Empty waste and dispose of trash and infectious waste; move furniture as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols and report safety issues.
• Identify safety issues to supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
