Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain cleanliness across hospital areas, operate equipment, and support bed moves and supply stocking.

This full-time evening shift (3pm–11:30pm) includes rotating weekends and holidays; the role requires physical stamina, frequent bending, lifting, and teamwork to ensure patient safety and a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hospital, departmental and infection control procedures.
• Ability to read, and write in English to understand basic safety instructions and take direction from supervisors.
• Ability to understand spoken English and communicate with patients, families and staff; must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness of the environment in assigned areas.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment.
• Set up functions and handle moving requests.
• Perform related services such as bed moves and stocking housekeeping supplies.
• Collect soiled linen from clinical locations throughout the hospital.
• Transport full linen carts to designated distribution locations.
