Qualifications

• Maintains sanitary and safe environment per department policies.
• Disposes of biohazards per EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and supply areas.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients, visitors and staff.
• Maintains clean, sanitary, and safe environment in assigned areas by following policies (20%).
• Disposes biohazards per EPA/OSHA regulations and handles hazardous items (20%).
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supply closets for a professional hospital appearance (20%).
• Follows PPE requirements for protection against exposure to hazards (5%).
• Follows hand hygiene policy (5%).
• Cleans carpet and hard surfaces per procedures (10%).
• Observes safety when moving equipment; reports issues (5%).
• Uses wet floor signs to prevent slips (5%).
• Converse with patients and visitors with courtesy; uphold high conduct standards (5%).
• Assists with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as requested (5%).
• Responds to pages or calls promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
