Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience working with high school students.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of school social work theory, practices, and techniques.
• Establish goals for social work services appropriate to the setting and the students served.
• Plan social work services integrated with the regular school program, including crisis prevention, intervention, and response.
• Develop methods to evaluate services and communicate relevant findings.
• Provide social-emotional interventions and support to students individually and in small groups.
• Broker and coordinate school and community resources to meet student needs.
