Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, is hiring full-time grill cook positions to work on-site in the university dining facility. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Prior food service experience is required and duties include grilling, food preparation, service at the grill station, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customer and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers in an efficient, friendly manner following established steps of service.
• Ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
