Job summary

APM Terminals in New Jersey is seeking a Forklift Operator to support loading/unloading and material handling for truck shipments. The role requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanning, with attention to safety and accuracy.

The shift runs Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, with $20.50 per hour plus OT. Candidates should be able to lift 50+ pounds, read work orders, and work well with team members in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun required.
• Forklift certifications preferred.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Must work well with others and maintain safety standards.
• Must lift 50+ lbs. unassisted.
• English reading/writing proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks.
• Handle materials including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting.
• Ensure timeliness, proper packaging, and systems accuracy.
• Identify overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe work environment per TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
