Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a Shipping Assistant in Scranton, PA, working 2:30pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday, at the Scranton Keyser Ave facility. Pay is $22.50/hour. Duties include labeling, measuring, inspecting, verifying shipping info, forklift operation, inventory, and WMS-based picking/shipping of orders.

Safety and accuracy are essential in this role. Responsibilities also cover tarp loading, housekeeping, training of new staff, and performing maintenance on equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Affix labels on skids or products to identify shipping information.
• Measure and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect skids, materials, and products to ensure packing specs.
• Verify shipping information against bills of lading, invoices or orders.
• Load and unload trucks with a forklift or hand truck.
• Maintain inventory on products, wraps and pallets.
• Operate and train others on standard procedures as needed.
• Perform shipping using WMS and tarp loads when required.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and company policies.
• Transfer finished goods from production to finished goods yard.

Responsibilities

• Affix labels on skids or products to identify shipping information.

• Verify shipping information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Load and unload trucks with a forklift, hand truck to transport products to designated area.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure cleanliness of work area.
• Receive and inspect returned product for completeness.
• Maintain inventory on products, wraps and pallets.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Perform preventive and general maintenance on forklifts and sweepers.
• Execute picking and shipping of all Sales Orders using the WMS.
• Tarps loads as needed and communicates daily issues to departments.
• Follow plant safety procedures and company policies.
• Transfer finished goods to the yard and in the WMS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
