Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, and to maintain accurate records. The role requires ability to perform basic math, understand inventory concepts, and follow safety rules. Work hours are 3pm-11:30pm, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

The position emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to company policies, and teamwork to support production schedules. OSHA and internal safety procedures are a priority.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: 9th grade. High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.
• Basic math and inventory techniques knowledge are preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass forklift licensing.

Responsibilities

• Move material between inventory, production, and finished goods.
• Band, wrap, pack, and label finished goods as required.
• Transfer finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup checklists and report issues.
• Keep material and inventory areas organized and clean.
• Maintain production records and comply with company policies.
