Job summary

UMass Dartmouth on-campus dining operations, operated by Compass Group USA's Chartwells Higher Ed, seeks a full-time Food Service Utility to support cleaning and kitchen maintenance on campus.

The role offers a 1:30 PM–8:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work. Compensation is $16.00 per hour, with union benefits and full-time perks like paid holidays, PTO, and meal benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous food service utility experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently on cleaning tasks and kitchen maintenance.
• Experience with specialty projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and handles garbage disposal.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Assists with banquet setup and front-of-house preparation.
• Loads/unloads and delivers supplies and product.
• Distributes utensils and portable equipment.
• Follows sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
