Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Food Prep Helper at York College of Pennsylvania to assist in preparing hot and cold dishes and keep the kitchen clean and orderly. You will greet customers with a positive attitude and support the dining operations on campus.

Responsibilities include following recipes, basic cooking tasks, and maintaining timely attendance for shifts that include afternoons/evenings and some weekends/holidays. Benefits and growth opportunities are available through Sodexo.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of related experience is beneficial.
• Reads recipes and product directions to assist in food prep.

Responsibilities

• Reads recipes and/or product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and production equipment.
• May have basic cooking responsibilities, i.e., cook vegetables, chicken for salads.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.
