Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to create a welcoming, well‑run store experience in our Fresh departments. You will engage customers, share product knowledge, and maintain visually appealing displays across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

You’ll stock, rotate, and merchandise with attention to food safety and quality procedures while working with teammates to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional service every shift.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role in retail; able to handle fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and use store technology.
• Ability to lift, bend, twist and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
