Job summary

Interstate Premier is a fast-growing, family-owned janitorial and maintenance company serving diverse facilities. We are seeking enthusiastic Floor Technician to service client sites on a 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM schedule, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

You will handle routine floor care and work mainly on hard surfaces and carpets. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, able to work independently yet be a team player, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prolonged standing required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor maintenance on hard surfaces and carpets (dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) in offices, corridors, lobbies and other public areas.
• Apply stripper to remove old wax and refinishing floors with new wax product.
• Complete assigned tasks on schedule with satisfactory results.
• Use and maintain chemicals and supplies per procedure.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Observe safety precautions and report hazards as appropriate.

This rapidly growing company seeks enthusiastic and reliable Floor Technician to work in one of our client’s sites. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, yet also be a team player.

Schedule: 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday to Friday

Pay: $20.00/hour

Job tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas.
• Applies stripper to floors (slippery surface) to remove old wax then refinishes floors with new wax product.
• Responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned project area according to schedule.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Observe safety precautions at all times (uses safety signs “wet floor”)
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned
