Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Floor Tech to maintain carpet and hard surface floors in Downtown Nashville. The role offers on-site work with a 6:00pm–2:30am shift, Monday–Friday, and benefits through ABM.

No high school diploma required; on-the-job training provided, with preference for customer service experience. ABM is a veteran-friendly employer, encouraging candidates with military experience to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Preferred: Customer service experience (not required)

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify management concerning the need for repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to cleaning areas manually or with hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or seasonal tasks.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
