Job summary

Grow Public Schools' Grow Academy Shafter is seeking an Evening Custodian to perform routine custodial maintenance at the campus and surrounding property. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, and keeping exteriors tidy, using buffers, vacuums, mops and related equipment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, follow safety rules, and work under general supervision, with bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Custodial/maintenance experience in a school or commercial setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow cleaning and housekeeping methods.
• Knowledge of safety procedures when handling chemicals and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clean, mop and stock restrooms; clean assigned areas daily.
• Dust surfaces 2-3 times per week and manage trash daily.
• Assist with setup of facilities for meetings/events.
• Move furniture and equipment; secure buildings after hours.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor and follow safety rules.
