Job summary

ABM Industries in Minneapolis is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment. This role contributes to the overall sanitation and appearance of the workplace, creating a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

The position offers a Monday–Friday shift from 5:00pm to 1:00am with a pay rate of $21.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects.
