Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an Environmental Service Aide for its Baskin Ridge location in New Jersey. The part-time role focuses on cleaning, waste handling, and room setup to support a safe, healing environment.

No prior Environmental Services experience is required and on-the-job training is provided. The position involves evening shifts (7pm-11pm), 20 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation, reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Qualifications

• No prior Environmental Services experience required; training provided if you meet basic qualifications.
• Ability to operate or learn floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending, pushing).
• Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge to support communication and training.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines.
• Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures.
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety standards.
• Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly.
• Support unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as needed.
• Participate in department meetings and required training sessions.
• Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadership.
• Share ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow.
