Qualifications

• Hospital or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and warnings.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients, visitors and staff.
• High attention to detail for most of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Follows the work schedule and completes daily/weekly tasks in the assigned area.
• Removes trash from assigned work areas at shift start and end.
• Empties and replaces needle boxes per hazardous waste procedures.
• Carpet care and vacuuming; spot removal and bonnet cleaning as needed.
• Maintains tiled floors with dry/wet mopping and buffing; may refinish floors.
• Inspects area and performs tasks independently.
• Performs low/high dusting; keeps vents dust-free.
• Polishes stainless steel and other smooth surfaces per schedule.
• Assists cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas as needed.
• Assists light aide with moving equipment and furniture.
• Inspects curtains; changes/hangs as needed and reports issues.
• Maintains equipment and reports safety concerns.
• Plans supplies and par levels; keeps closets organized.
• Attends department trainings and meetings.
