Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services/Housekeeping staff member in Baton Rouge, LA. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing guest, patient, public, clinical and administrative areas to maintain a clean, aseptic environment.

The role operates Monday through Friday, 3pm–11:30pm, with accommodations as needed. Required reading, writing, and spoken English to follow instructions; preferred high school diploma or equivalent and experience operating housekeeping equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to read, write and understand English in order to follow instructions and daily tasks.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning equipment/supplies.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
• Able to listen and take direction with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
• Maintains Environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
• Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
• Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
• Follows current regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
