Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to respond to medical emergencies and provide patient care in pre-hospital settings, on scene and during transport to the hospital. You will assess patients, determine appropriate care, document information, and maintain safety and confidentiality.

Required EMT certification and a valid NH driver’s license; BLS, NREMT preferred; 1 year EMT/LNA experience; lifting up to 50 lbs; ability to work evenings.

Qualifications

• EMT/LNA experience 1 year required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification and EMT Licensure required; NREMT-Basic preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; EMT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
• Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
• Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Operate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
