Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking Dock Workers to load and unload trailers, move cargo and operate forklifts or pallet jacks across a range of freight types. You will also handle required paperwork and utilize mobile technology to ensure accurate records.

This casual hourly role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts by location, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency at service centers across North America.

Qualifications

• Casual position; evenings required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Stable work record.
• Good safety record.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical.
• Shift days/hours vary by location; may include days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wide varieties of freight for transit.
• Move cargo, drive a forklift or use a pallet jack or other freight handling equipment.
• Load and unload trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo.
• Effectively operate mobile technology.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Equipment - Preventive Maintenance Program for all ABF equipment.
• Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.
