Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed Dining Services is hiring a part-time dishwasher at Central Community College-Hastings. You will maintain dishes, pots, pans, and prep areas in a clean, sanitary condition while following safety rules. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm; online applications accepted.

The position pays $15.00 per hour. Free employee meals are provided. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required, making this a friendly entry point into food service.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Part-time schedule: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses dirtied dishes and uses machines or racks to wash, ensuring cleanliness.
• Washes pots, pans and trays per procedures, maintaining sanitation.
• Polishes silver using various tools and approaches to stay clean and safe.
• Follows outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels per provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and transfers supplies between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
