Job summary

Alpine Care of Zion in Zion, IL is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support residents' meals and dietary needs. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, sanitary dining environment.

This full-time shift runs 12P–8P with weekend and holiday rotations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of healthcare or food service experience, strong organization, and a valid Food Handlers Permit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of healthcare or food service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk/bend for long periods.
• HIPAA confidentiality.
• Food Handlers Permit required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of meals to residents, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the dining area, kitchen, and surrounding spaces.
• Assist with food storage, labeling, and rotation to ensure freshness and safety.
• Assist with waste management and recycling programs.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of food and supply inventory.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure seamless meal service and minimize disruptions.
• Provide assistance with resident meal preferences and special diets as needed.
• Participate in maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
