Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. The successful candidate will be responsible for various cleaning duties, including dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, offices, kitchen areas, hallways, entryways, emptying trash, and more. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and pride in their work.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building.
2. Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily.
3. Clean windows, restock supplies in restrooms, report issues, and request supplies as needed.
4. Wipe up spills and hazards using appropriate tools.
5. Secure the building by locking doors after cleaning.
6. Document areas cleaned and report major repairs to the manager.
7. Operate autoscrubbing equipment.
8. Fill in for staff during absences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in janitorial services.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Experience with various cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Excellent stamina and physical health.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Ability to pass a background check.
