Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to perform custodial tasks at school facilities.
• Willingness to work evenings for events as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and MSDS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds for a sanitary, safe environment.
• Maintains furnace operation to ensure proper heating system functioning.
• Monitors and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Monitors student activities around work areas to ensure safety.
• Monitors the use of chemicals and MSDS procedures.
• Monitors utility usage and suggests cost-saving improvements.
• Operates and maintains boilers for safe operation and energy efficiency.
• Performs custodial work (floors, carpets, furniture) to ensure facilities are safe and clean.
• Performs minor maintenance on custodial equipment and fixtures.
• Prepares site for daily operations (opening gates, snow removal, etc.).
• Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies.
• Secures facilities and grounds to minimize loss and liability.
• Supports other site maintenance staff for custodial activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
