Job summary

Alpine School District seeks a Custodial Lead for a Jr. High to provide evening custodial services at the assigned site, coordinating with the Head Custodian, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

This 250-day contract offers an 8-hour day schedule, with an hourly rate ranging from 20.85 to 23.43, depending on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include supervising staff, preparing facilities for events, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with site snow removal in the preparation of night events for the purpose of ensuring access and safety to students, staff and visitors.
• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Consults with administrative personnel for the purpose of planning, prioritizing, and scheduling custodial activities and achieving site maintenance objectives.
• Delivers items (supplies, mail, packages, furniture) for the purpose of distributing materials within site.
• Distributes custodial supplies and equipment for the purpose of disseminating materials to custodial staff and/or storage locations.
• Informs students and other site personnel for the purpose of providing information and direction regarding activities, safety issues, and/or proper maintenance of facilities and/or equipment.
• Inspects facilities and components for the purpose of ensuring site safety and condition.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of custodial items.
• Manages preparation, set-up, and take down of events for the purpose of ensuring materials/equipment are available and safety protocols followed.
• Monitors activities in and around work areas for the purpose of identifying and correcting issues that could cause injuries.
• Oversees facility maintenance activities and custodial personnel for the purpose of ensuring functions are performed efficiently and up to standards.
• Performs minor maintenance on custodial equipment and fixtures for the purpose of ensuring proper functioning.
• Prepares written materials for documenting activities and reporting to administration.
• Prepares site for daily operations for the purpose of ensuring facilities are operational and hazard-free.
• Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities.
• Responds to safety/operational concerns during/after hours for resolution.
• Secures facilities/grounds for the purpose of minimizing property damage and liability.
• Supports other site maintenance staff for the purpose of completing site custodial activities.
• Trains assigned personnel for the purpose of developing skills and safety awareness.
• Transports tools/equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability at the job site.
• Participates in meetings/trainings for the purpose of gathering information to perform job functions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
