Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University is hiring a custodial worker for the Student Center. The primary duties include maintaining a safe, clean space for students and visitors, performing daily cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, and keeping restrooms sanitized.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 3+ years of custodial experience, with a schedule that may include nights. Work hours are Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 pm–6:30 am, with the recruitment range listed at $15

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of experience within the field of janitorial/custodial work or other related fields.

Responsibilities

Perform basic cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming to keep areas clean.
Fill dispensers (tissue and soap) with the proper product and amount.
Empty all trash receptacles throughout the facility and dispose of waste.
Dust and damp-wipe all surfaces, tables and chairs.
Clean all glass in the Student Center at least once a day.
Scrub, sanitize, and deodorize all restrooms; disinfect toilets and sinks and re-supply as needed.
Inspect bathrooms at least three times per shift and re-supply when needed.
Sweep and mop restrooms and wipe walls and stalls.
Scrub and clean trash cans.
