Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP seeks a Custodial Lead in San Diego to supervise custodial staff, ensure cleanliness and sanitation, and support the Custodial Supervisor with scheduling and training. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience.

The position operates Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a pay rate of $17.75–$18.75 per hour. CPR/AED/First Aid certification and a valid driver’s license may be required, with forklift certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.
• At least 1 year related custodial experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification; a valid driver's license may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Follow the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Report employee issues to supervisor.
• Monitor PPE usage and ensure proper use of supplies.
• Drive to various work locations as needed.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas needing improvement.
