Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Part-time Critical Care Technician to provide direct patient care during the 7:00pm–7:00am shift. The role emphasizes compassionate, respectful treatment and teamwork with the nursing staff in a critical care setting.

The ideal candidate holds EMT/Paramedic license or CNA/PCA with care experience, or is a nursing student in an approved program. May involve 36 hours per week in a night shift rotation.

Qualifications

• Valid EMT or Paramedic license or CNA/PCA with 1 year patient care experience.
• Nursing students enrolled in an approved program with clinical/didactic coursework.
• Current employees awaiting NCLEX authorization to test (within 90 days post-graduation).
• Current employees who completed a nursing or LPN program and failed NCLEX (within 6 months of initial testing).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned individuals with compassion and respect.
• Assist RN/Manager with care tasks and participate in patient rounds as needed.
