Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide patient care under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. The role includes assisting with ADLs, specimen collection, patient transport, and vital signs, within a hospital environment.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, completion of an approved patient care program or nursing enrollment, and relevant certifications such as BLS, PEARS, and Rhythm Interpretation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; approved health care program may waive with experience.
• Two years’ experience as a patient care tech or similar in a hospital.
• GA CNA certification or comparable military/medical tech experience can substitute.
• Certifications: BLS, Rhythm Interpretation, PEARS or equivalent, CPT training within stated timelines.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under supervision of Staff Nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and specimen collection.
• Transport patients and prepare for procedures.
• Collect vital signs and perform unit-specific tasks.
